SCSI drives not available

P

Patrick B.

I am using Windows 2000 Professional on an IBM
Intellistation for a video application.

When the computer boots up, I see my dual ATTO SCSI card,
and a list of all of my media drives.

However, when I get to the Windows GUI, I can't access the
drives. I went to MANAGE and checked the drives there,
but the drives #'s show up as "foreign", and then the
partitions show up after that as unavailable.
And I can't "reactivate" them or bring the on-line using
the disk manager tool...

I tried re-seating the ATTO dual SCSI card, and checked
the cables, but to no avail...

Any ideas on how I can get my drives back on line?

Thanks,

Patrick

Make sure the SCSI drivers are properly installed.

Switch to Adaptec controllers.
