Scrolling Issue

Hi,

I don't know how to describe really other than animated scrolling!!
Basically, in Word 2003, as I scroller down the page (using the bar at the
side), the document used to scroll with it. Now when I drag the bar up or
down, it just stays on my current page and next to the bar shows a little
yellow box with the page and the title in it, then when I let go jumps to
that page.

How can I get my "animated" scrolling back?

Thanks guys

Tom

I think I've seen something about this before, and I'm pretty sure there's a
setting that governs it, but I'm not sure which one it is. Try the "Use
smart cursoring" check box on the Edit tab of Tools | Options. Mine is
checked, and scrolling is active; if yours is checked and you're not getting
the effect you want, then that isn't the right setting. If it's not checked,
see what happens if you check it.

Word 2003 has a bad habit of losing and changing some settings stored in the
Sata key of the registry. If you rename the settings sub key of the Word
data key
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\11.0\Word\Data
to OldSettings, with Word closed, Word will rebuild the key to defaults when
you restart Word and still give you the opportunity to change it back if it
doesn't fix it. (ie Delete the new settings sub key so created and rename
the old one back again)

If that doesn't work, see
