Scroll too fast

When trying to highlight ranges larger than screen size,
the screen scrolls way too fast. I have almost no control
to slow it down. Only if I carefully point just outside
the window (only a pixel away), I can get the scroll down
to a manageable speed. Is there anyway to slow the scroll
down?

Instead of scrolling, try this:

1-Click the first cell in the range (A1, for example)
2-Use the scroll bars to bring the last cell into view
3-Holding down the Shift key, click the last cell in the range (Z100, for
example)

That will select all cells in between.

Or type the range in the name box and press enter

Not much you can do to prevent this other than what you are doing by carefully
pointing just outside the window.

DDM gives one work-around.

Another is to enter the range in the name box and hit ENTER.

i.e. type A1:Z100 in name box and hit Enter key.
