scroll intelligently by pane

Hi all,

I used to use a mouse driver that I loaded at startup which would
automatically sense which pane of a window I was in, and scroll
appropriately. For example, in windows explorer, expand your c drive in
the left pane, then click the 'windows' folder. You should now have more
than fits on the screen in both panes. My old mouse driver would scroll
the left pane when it was over the left pane, and scroll the right pane
when it was over the right pane. This was EXCELLENT and I think, should
be a standard thing.
Problem: got a lovely new Microsoft Wireless Laser Mouse 500 for xmas,
which comes with a driver disk, which has to be installed to use the
horizontal scrolling feature, which is also very useful. However, I
cannot use both features at the same time. I can load the third party
driver or exit it to 'switch' between behaviours, but my question is: is
there a way I can make the 'intellipoint' driver behave in the way the
third party one does with regard to the window panes??????? There is no
setting for it under mouse properties.

TIA,

Andy

If you don't see it as an option under mouse properties, then no, you can't.
