Scroll down

When I open a new (or old) excel file, I can use the scroll button on the
mouse to scroll down or up. However, after certain time period, when I
scroll, the workseet scrolls left or rigt only. If I close the file and open
it back, again normal scrolling, up and down. Anybody know what is going on?
