Scroll Bar Problem

I recently got an automatic update for Microsoft Windows
XP. Since then when I click above or below the button on
the scroll bar, the image moves two screens instead of
one. The arrows at the top and bottom still work one
line at a time, and the scroll bar across the bottom
doesn't seem to be affected. And, of course, the Help
file only refers to the scroll wheel in a mouse, not the
scroll bar on the screen. Our IT people say, "Oh, I
haven't heard of that," and shrug their shoulders. There
must be a fix for this. Anyone have a suggestion?

I am ***so*** happy someone else posted this. I am having the same problem and it is quite annoying. Please tell us there's a fix for this. It's incredibly frustrating, b/c I don't use the arrows, I use the blank space exclusively.
