"Script on page causing Internet Explorer to run slowly"

Hi
I am constantly receiving a notice saying,
"A script on this page is causing Internet Explorer to run
slowly. If it contiues to run, your computer may become
unresponsive.
Do you want to abort script?"

Can anyone tell me what I've done and how I can fix it?
