Script errors

My wife is plagued with script errors whenever she is on the internet. If
she forwards a web page to me I have to plow through a dozen or so script
error boxes also (Do you want to continue running scripts on this page, yes
or no
buttons).

We are both running XP Home with SP1.

Any ideas will be very gratefully received.

Go to Tools | Internet Options | Advanced.
Check the box to Disable script debugging.
Uncheck the box to Display a notification about every script error.

1. You might want to refresh your scripting engine:

or

Sometimes there's a corrupt file in the cache and one must go to Tools |
Internet Options and click Delete Files.

2a. Start>Run>Regsvr32 vbscript.dll

2b. Start>Run>Regsvr32 jscript.dll

(WinXP users who have problems with 2a and 2b, see

3. Re-register all DLLs listed in http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=281679

5a. IE Tools>Internet Options>Advanced>Browsing>Enable third-party browser
extensions (uncheck & reboot).

5b. Find the hijacker that caused 5a to be checked (or if none were checked,
check for hijackware anyway):

"Preview" should be standing as "Print Preview".
Is this problem related to the IIS and how can I troubleshoot with debug
tools?

I have found the solution and your article below did not make any changes.
Solution:

dcomcnfg: give the particular user or groups DCOM "Access permission" for
the DCOM component or give the permission on the root level, sometimes it can
be diffecult to find the exact place to give the permissions.
I could have tried uninstall of I.E 6 sp1 but, no option are given on W2K3,
anyway it can be done, but I did not try, when above solved the problem.

Janus Morthorst.
