Browser "Script" Errors

M

Mattrixx

Lately, I have been receiving a script error: "Object doesn`t support this
prop or method. Line 434 Chap5" while using SBC Yahoo (Internet Explorer)
Browser and clicking on "bookmarks" or typing in urls!
Also (I believe) additional other script errors asking me "if I want to
continue to load page" etc.

I have checked: "Disable Script Debugging" and unchecked "Display a
Notification about every script error" under Tools/Internet
Options/Advanced/Browsing.

Is there something I can do to eliminate these script errors?

Thanks,

Matt

Hi Matt :)

You don't mention the version of Windows you are using, but, try the
following and see if it helps:

These issues are most commonly fixed by reinstalling the scripting engines
via the links provided in the article.

Some users get JavaScript errors because Microsoft Internet Explorer has not
been installed correctly. Specifically, the problem is a result of a two
..dll files not being registered properly. The problem can be solved by
following these instructions:

Click Start>Run.
In the Open box, type:

"regsvr32 actxprxy.dll

Click OK, and OK again when you receive the message: "DllRegisterServer in
actxprxy.dll succeeded."

Click Start>Run.
In the Open box, type:

regsvr32 shdocvw.dll

Click OK, and OK again when you receive the message: DllRegisterServer in
shdocvw.dll succeeded.

Shut down and restart your computer."

Hope this helps.
