On a certain web page I receive script errors which will not allow me to
type or advance on this web page. How do I get around this. I have tried
clicking "yes" I want to continue.

We don't have enough information to help you. Were you ever able to get
to this website? If yes, what changed? If no, can anyone else get to the
website from a different computer? If it isn't a secret, you can also
post the url to the website here so people can check it out for you.

What browser are you using? If IE, does the problem occur with another
browser such as Firefox?

Answer some of these questions to get focused troubleshooting help.

The web page is www.mymms.com Go to "custom message" and try following the
directions. I have yahoo browser.

You mean where you pick two colors and then enter your message? Go to
Sun's site and download the latest version of Java. It will be towards
the middle of the page and you want the JRE 6 runtime environment
version for end users.

http://java.sun.com/javase/downloads/index.jsp

Then go to your Add/Remove Programs and remove all older versions of
Java. Then install your new Java and see if that helps.

I have downloaded the version you suggested. My illiteracy of computers
keeps me from removing all Java before I know how to install. No where shows
me how. Sorry.

OK, I think I have installed the program. It is on my desktop. I have
deleted all Java programs (except this one). Now my Java icon in the control
panel does not open. The web page still shows the error messages. How do I
get this program from the desktop to the control panel in the Java folder?
If this is too frustrating via email, we can talk by phone. For this private
info. my email address is (e-mail address removed).

I'm sorry but I don't provide free tech support anywhere except in
newsgroups and in a few web forums.

You were supposed to follow the instructions and go to the Control Panel
and then Add/Remove Programs and see if there were any entries for Java
in there. Then you were to use the uninstallation function for all of
them. Then you were supposed to install the new Java.

Go to Control Panel>Add/Remove Programs and uninstall all versions of
Java, including the one you just installed. Make sure you reboot the
machine. Then install the newest version of Java from the link I
previously gave you. After you install Java, the Java Control Panel
applet should work.

If you still can't get this to function correctly, have a knowledgeable
friend (someone who is *really* knowledgeable and not just someone who
*says* s/he is) or a local computer professional take care of this for
you. There may be other issues on your machine that aren't apparent to
someone reading your posts in a newsgroup but which will be immediately
obvious to someone skilled who is actually looking at the machine.
