Hi

Outlook 2003 installed fine on my machine, but after a few days has started
giving a script error when it is started. Error is Class not registered,

What is the problem and how can I fix it?

Thanks

Hi,

I understand that when you start Outlook, you receive a Script Error related to Outlook Today. Please try the following steps to resolve this issue.

Step 1: Rename Outlwvw.dll
===================
1. Click Start->Settings->Control Panel, Double click Folder Options icon
2. Click View tab, Select "Show hidden files and folders", uncheck the options "Hide file extensions for known file types" and "Hide protected operating system files (recommended)",
and then click OK
3. Click Start->Search->For Files or Folders. In the "What do you want to search for" box, click "All files and folders".
4. Click "More Advanced options", check the following options:

--"Search hidden files and folders"
--"Search subfolders"
--"Search System Files and folders"

5. In the All or part of the file name type "Outlwvw.dll" (without the quotation marks). Choose "My Hard Drives" in Look In, and then click Search.
6. Rename the file Outlwvw.dll to Outlwvw.old

Step 2: Run Detect and Repair
====================
1. Start Outlook
2. Click Help->Detect and Repair
3. Click Start
4. Restart computer and Outlook, and then open a message to check if the problem still exists.

Note: You may be required to insert the Office setup CD during the process.
