I know how to change the screen resolution, but how can I set mine not to
change if another user changes theirs

Hi,

You can't, it's a shared setting. To make things quicker, you might try
quickres from MVP Doug Knox. You'll find it on his site (www.dougknox.com)
under Utilities.
