Hello Steve,you maybe have a problem with graphic card or something like
this.
Go to start-run-dxdiag-yes-display-and check
directdraw,direct 3d and agp texture are enabled.
Try to run screensaver with lower resolution and 16bit color.
Dropped from 32-bit to 16-bit. Resolution is 1024 x 768. Ran dxdiag-all
checks enabled, no problems found anywhere by test. Still no screensaver. Is
there a problem with Power Management by chance? I want to turn off all
settings so that nothing turns off but the settings don't hold whenever I
reboot. It keeps going back to MaxBattery setting. I can't keep it at
Home/Office. Thanks, Steve T.
I ran msconfig and disabled two programs for auto update from the PC vendor
and now everything works. I guess the service made the PC think it was
running a program. Thanks, Steve T.
