Screensaver To Lock Pc

Sean Macdonald

I have created the Lock Pc shortcut as from KB 314969.

What I would now like is to be able to have a screensaver that will
run this after a specified idle time.

I don't want to use the work around of using a password protected
screensaver, I want to use the actual "LockWorkStation" option that
requires crtl-alt-del to enter the password for unlocking.

Has anyone got any idea how I would go about this?

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Windows 2000 will lock a workstation out if you password protect the
Screensaver. It's not like 98 where it will just be a separate password.
When the screensaver comes on it will lock the workstation and the only
person that can unlock it is the user who was logged in or a user with
administrator rights.
