Screensaver stops McAfee virus scan

Have a weird problem that occurred after I updated my Win XP home version
with SP2. Everything went just fine, and everything works just fine, except
that when I start McAfee virus scan, it stops running when the screensaver
kicks on after 15 minutes. As soon as screensaver is turned off (due to
activity) virus scan continues just fine. If I disable the screen saver, the
virus scan runs just fine.
Any ideas how to resolve this?

Weird it's usually the other way around in my case. MVS stops the
screensaver! Maybe your RAM is low? Clear cache, Start/Control Panel/Perf.
& Maint./Free Up Space..
