Screensaver problem

I am trying to set a screensaver.I select it, and apply
it. When I close the display icon, open it, and go back
to the screensaver option, it has defaulted to an earlier
setting. I;m not sure how to fix this. Any ideas?
 
All I could come up with is to click "Apply" on the screensaver tab. Be sure
you do that, if you want the new screensaver to stick.
