screensaver password

Is it possible to change the screen saver password, to make it different
from the logon one? Like in win98/ME that there was the "change password"
button in the screensaver settings menù...

Thanks

As far as I know, the screen saver password process relies
on the same mechanism as the logon password. Judging
by the sheer number of people who post in this newsgroup
because they have forgotten their logon password, having
two dissimar passwords would be disastrous. In the case
of Win9x, this is not an issue because there is no security
in Win9x - passwords are only for decoration.

I'll be hanging passwords on my Christmas tree this year.

This is great, but remember that you will then lose the ability
for an administrator to punch through a user's screen-saver
password.

As far as a free password protected screen saver is concerned:
Google lists some 4100 hits when you enter this search string:

"screen saver" "password protected" freeware

With Win2k and XP once the computer is locked with the Screen Saver or by
locking the computer only the User or the Administrator can unlock and
access the computer.
