Screensaver not working

The screensaver time to start option is grayed out.
How do I turn screensaver on?
 
First you need to set Screensaver to be on. Desktop\Properties\Screensaver
and change from None
 
It is not set on NONE. No matter which type of screensaver
I choose, the WAIT option is grayed out.

Has it been grayed out since you got XP?
Or since any other "event?"
How long has it been this way?
 
Just started recently, but I don't know what I did to cause it.

I used System Restore to a week ago and the problem is fixed.
Still no idea what caused the condition.

System Restore may get you back to the registry you had before this strange
"event."
Look up System Restore in Help and Support.
Your data files are not affected by System Restore.
