screensaver doesn't start

I'm running Windows XP. Up until now, the screensaver was
the Windows logo running around the screen. When I'd
check my PC in the morning, the screensaver would be
there. I changed the screensaver to "marquee" and added a
line of text, set it to come on after a wait of 7
minutes, did a preview, and it looked fine. But it never
comes on. I've changed the wait time, reset it from the
beginning, but my PC only displays the desktop no matter
how long it sits. Can anyone help?

I have been having the same problem, but still haven't found any help.
One thing I did discover is that if you leave an open window, such as solitare, the screen saver will come on. Hope this will be at least a temporary help. Someone out there must know how to fix this. Good luc
