My screensaver is set active with a timeout of 60 sec plus password
dialog (IsSecure=1). After reboot, these settings are still in the
registry and in Control Panel - Display Properties - Screensaver, but
they dont work. They work only after manual confirmation with OK. How
do I get them to work unattendedly after reboot? Thanks, Sven

Hi Sven,

Is your computer connected to certain domain? Or does it come with third
party software that manages the screen saver and such?

There is no third manager for screensavers installed. The machine
adheres to a peer to peer network.
In startup, there are 3 instant messaging programs and 2 remote
control clients. None of them stops screensaver activity, though, if
screensaver was activated manually.

Hi Sven,

Were you intended to set screensavers that come with Windows XP or those
that you download from the Internet?

Try to do registry edit for this entry :
PLEASE BACK UP YOUR REGISTRY FIRST...

Key : HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows
NT\CurrentVersion\Winlogon
Name: CachedLogonsCount
Type: REG_SZ
Data: 10 (default), 1 (new)

Temperorly disable your antivirus/spyware protection then see if it
works.
