...in order to support those flatscreens that you can turn every-which
-way, maybe some OSes can do this too.

There is also software that allows you to split the screen up into varying
amounts. Like what you may see in the background of a news cast. IOW you
could for instance take a bank of say 15 flat screens and make them 3 high
by 5 wide and split the screen between them; but instead of doing all that
get one of the newer HDTV's that can also be used as a pc monitor. Now that
would be a monitor a plasma screen 3 foot by 5 foot HDTV with PC hookups, I
want one!! anyone have an extra about 3 grand to spare can send me one if
you want, rofl

I think I know what was wrong. In my video card properties there is an
option, which rotates the screen. Somehow my computer changed screen
properties by himself :) . Now I've changed it manually and everything's
fine.

Thank you for your advice

If it's not that, then it's 'ticked the wrong box' in the video drivers
.. but I think only nVidia detonator drivers / nview have this rather
strange feature.

There is an ATI driver plugin, that allows rotating the screen contents
in 90 degrees steps, too. I have it running on my Laptop. Works
perfectly.

If this feature was present on the affected computer, it might have been
activated by a script kiddie that exploited a RAT.

One of the more impressive things (from a technical POV) I remember
about Italia 90, was the RAI-1 trailer they parked in the plaza at the
train station in Milano with a 5x5 screen live display of the evening's
games. (final - Germany - 1, Argentina - 0)

If you are talking about the Football/Soccer World Cup, that wasn't
Germany vs Argentina, but Germany vs Italy. Beat them in their own land.
The most distressing experience for the Italians ever. And the last time
that the German team played world class like, for about a dozen years.

Only in Japan/Korea 2002, when becoming vize champions, they were good
again, but only for a few weeks.

As you will appeciate, display inversion is a requirement for people
in the southern hemisphere.
