Screen Turning Black

Whenever I am playing media or on the internet, my screen will momentarily turn black. My sound card and video cards have the lastest drivers. I run a Norton AntiVirsu scan evry night and my virus definitions are up to date. Does anyone have any idea what might be happening or a way to diagnose this problem?
 
Do you have a Screensaver or Wallpaper changer working in the Background?
