screen saver error??

Ya'll,

Today my new HP 'puter with Vista decided to give me an error instead of
running my screen saver (the factory "Aurora" one). I get an error that
states, "The screen saver can't run because it requires a newer video card or
one that's compatabile with Direct3D". Now, I don't understand, 'cause this
is the same screen saver I've used since I got the 'puter a few months back...

Any suggestions??

Thanks,
Jay

Well, no, I don't think so... This morning when I started up the 'puter I
was bombarded with messages about drivers for a NVIDIA display driver... come
to find out, I have 2 in my device list... after screwing around for a while
I figgered out that I could just "disable" the new one, and the old one
worked just fine.

This now leads me to a new second part of my problem - how/why did the
'puter detect a second video adapter???
