Screen Saver Doesn't Work

No matter what I do, my screen saver doesn't work. I tried changing the
time, made sure power settings are all set to NONE, tried different Windows
screen savers - still nothing. No other screen saver 3rd party application
is installed, just the standard Windows screen saver - how can i reset it or
fix it in the Registry?
Oh by the way, this is a new Dell computer - maybe that's the problem!!?

Any suggestions would be helpful...

Exactly my problem. I just installed a new Microsoft Wireless Optical Elite
Mouse/Keyboard set for a client
- It figures that Microsoft would manufacture a product that screws up their
own operating system!!

This is so stupid...

Microsoft - please fix this in one of your glorious "patches" please...
