I was trying to change my screen resolution but accidentally moved the slider
bar to a very high resolution, now whenever i start the computer up afer the
initial loading (which is fine) the screen then says "out of range" i cannot
see the screen to correct this problem and it is driving me crazy

Boot into VGA Mode and then set the display (resolution, refresh
rate, and/or number of colors) to something that your display can
handle. Reboot one more time, into normal mode.

Reboot into safe mode and you can alter your settings there. Then reboot
into normal mode.
