screen resolution problem

I recently re-installed XP. Now the resolution is set really low. When I go
to the properties tab to change the resolution, the slider bar doesn't move.
On top of that the tab you use to increase the amount of colours only has one
option, which is Medium (16 Bit). How do I get the options back so I can
change the resolution to suit my screen?

Hi; Firstly I assume you have installed the graphics card driver ? If not do
so!
Then follow the procedures -->

Start.>>>Control Panel>>>Pick a Task>>>Change Screen Resolution.
In Display Properties Box Click Settings Tab>>>Change Resolution to Your
regular size; ie 800x600. Change Colour Quality to Highest ie. 32Bit.
Click Advanced Button>>>Click General Tab. On Compatibility Section choose
which option you require. Click Apply....OK
Close down Display Box
Close Control Panel

Reboot PC.

Be lucky wightnight UK

Go to Start/Run, and type DEVMGMT.MSC , highlight the video device, Action
menu, "Uninstall", then restart Windows, to find the device drivers again
automatically.
