Screen Resolution message

Every time i set the screen resolution below 1280 by 1024 pixel a message
comes up on the middel of the screen saying change it to 1280 by 1024 pixel
then below it saying Select : Disable Exit : Clear. It wouldn't be a problem
except i have this old game i love playing and because the resolution on that
isn't high enfough it means i have this message box blanking out the middel
of my page. Any one know how to get rid of if please is driving me crazy.

That message is almost certainly not coming from Windows: it's coming from
your monitor.

Your monitor is LCD, isn't it? LCD monitors tend to have a very limited
number of resolutions available. For details on your monitor's
capabilities and how to get around the message, consult the manual for it or
the manufacturer. You can probably download a user guide in PDF format.

To get past the message, you generally use the controls *on the monitor*,
not your keyboard.
