Screen resolution wont stay!!!

I am running XP Prof, and when I put my Dell Inspiron 8200
laptop into the base station, the resolution automatically
jumps up to the maximum setting. What's the deal? This
just started a week or so ago. I am dumbfounded.

Did you download an Update about a week ago? If you did, try a System
Restore and see whether it helps.
