Screen Resolution problems

My screen resolution changes from 1024 + 768 pixels to 640
+ 400 pixels every time I turn on the computer and then
once I switch the resolution back, it changes back to the
lower resolution when I shut down my web browser, which is
Nescape 7.1.

It sounds like an automation function is enabled, ha.
If its me, I will check my display advanced settings.
