Screen Resolution Limitations, Picture Resizing and Content Loss

...But I still am running
into the screen res. problem. Because of the limitation in pixels I have
to
work with, the 1076x768 screens that users are viewing on, I cannot get
the
images to show the detail i need without making the browser window need to
scroll horizontally. I have already been told by higher ups that they don't
want scrolling, but in order to make the page small enough to not need
scrolling, the image comes out crappy and not detailed enough. Is there a
way
around this, or am i stuck with a either a bad image, or having to scroll
sideways to view the whole thing?

There's no way around it, unless you can do something to the image to make
it clearer at a small size. That's why the others are asking to see the
image.

I appreciate the input, unfortunately I cant send a link to the site because
it is a corporate intranet site requiring a password to log on. I solved the
problem for now by switching the navigation bar to the top of the page and
freeing up some pixels to work with horizontally. Thanks for the help.

Ah, I assumed you were at least using the whole window horizontally. That
was a good move.
