Screen Resolution Changes when printing

Every time I print, a black screen appear and the screen resolution
changes to 640x480, when finishing printing the black screen appear again
and the screen resolution goes back normal.
 
That is unusual. What printer make, model, and driver version are you using,
and what video card and driver.
What national version of windows is in use. Is this occurring when you print
from an older application? or something like one of the office apps.
