Screen refreshes continuously

I have some powerpoint presentations which open quite normally on other PCs.
On my specific PC, when i go to certain slides, then it keeps on refreshing
itself continuously. As a result, you are left with no other option but to
wait untill the refreshing has stopped. The whole slide is drawn again and
again which can sometime last upto couple of minutes.

Can someone kindly explain the rational behind such a behaviour and what can
be done to avoid and correct this.

Try this

Right click the desktop
Properties>settings>advanced>troubleshoot
Slide the slider left.

If it works slide it right step by step
