Screen location; spell check

Good afternoon --

Just installed Windows XP upgrade of Windows 2000. Two
problems have occurred:

1. Screen is centered top to bottom but not laterally --
it is skewed to the left. How do I move it to the right?

2. When clicking on spell check get error message. Can
this be cured?

Any help will be appreciated.

Depending on how you did your change from Win2k to WinXP, you may not
have the the latest, correct XP video drivers installed. Go to the site
of the mfr of your video card and either confirm that you have the
latest XP drivers or download and install them. Assuming that drivers
are not the problem, you should have controls on your monitor itself to
adjust image size and location.

With respect to spell check, I assume that you are referring to clicking
on spell check in Outlook Express. As I understand it, OE does not
have its own spell check, and relies on the one from Word or Works. You
should be able to do a Google Groups search of this ng for posts
explaining how to deal with this issue. Just search on "spell" and
you'll find it.

Sound like refresh rate problems to me. Right-click the desktop. Select
Properties, Settings, then Advanced. Click the monitor tab.

The Screen Refresh rate box awaits. Just be careful with it. When you select
a refresh wait, once the screen goes blank, do NOT press or click ANYTHING.
This stops you from OKing a screen refresh rate your monitor cannot support.
After 15 seconds, the previous refresh rate will be restored.
