Screen jumping?

I dont know how to adequately describe a problem im having except to say
that on an irregular basis the display image moves spontantously, 'jumping'
down a couple of inches and then popping back up to its prior position.
Interestingly, the entire image does not move only the portions within some
windows. For example. the content tree of the outlook express folers pane or
the contents of my favorites--though in both cases not the window frame only
the contents. i cant relate it to cursor movement though sometimes i think
it jumps in this way when i touch the mouse. I have an ATI radeon 9100 with
latest drivers, dell 1901fp display, hp pavilian 753n piv 2.53ghz, 533mhz
fsb, 512 mp ram, 80gb disk, winxp pro with all latest patches. Ive run panda
and avg virus utilites--nothing found, ad-aware and spybot--nothing found.

any ideas?

Have seen a similar issue with FPD in the past. It appears to be a refresh
rate issue ie with the frequency that the monitor output is set to. Check to
see if you still have the issue with another (different type) monitor. If
the problem is not there then set to find out what the corect frequency is
for your Dell 1901.
You could also try using "default" or "optimum" frequency setting, but
exactly what that is will be dependant on your output device.
