Screen is too big

My screen is huge. I right click and go to properties to change the screen resolution but the screen resolution only has the one setting. What do I do to change this so that everything is not so big on the screen? Please tell me how to change by emailing me at (e-mail address removed)

One generally installs the proper video card drivers. There are some other
gotchas, such as a monitor limitation. When you say everything is too
large, I'm assuming that the screen resolution is something like 640x480.
