Screen going black

ok, I thought this was only a problem when playing the microsoft games, but
it just happened while I was checking email also.

I bought a new laptop that came with Vista... I have been able to work
around most of the bugs.....with very little aggravation... the one thing
that does bug me a bit is that when i play the games OR when I check
email... the screen goes black... I move the cursor around for a bit and it
goes back to normal.

At first I thought it was my screensaver (provided by vista, no junk
downloads for me lol - learned that lesson a long time ago)... but it does
it even when my screensaver is turned OFF.

Has anyone else had this problem?

No, didn't think I needed to... it is brand new (ok, it was new in February
lol)

I will get my husband to do it for me tomorrow morning.... I don't want to
take the risk of making it worse by downloading the wrong one :)

Thanks for the quick response!

I don't think I've seen similar reports. You might want to contact your
laptop's tech support people to see if they can diagnose the problem.
It might be something simple like needing an updated video driver, or it
could be a hardware problem.

Hi,

Check the laptop manufacturer's site for your model. Many drivers are often
updated after a system is built, as there are often unresolved issues at the
time of construction. If it continues, you should still be under warranty
and having it checked out may be appropriate since there is a possibility
that it is a hardware problem.
