screen flickers

Most likely a video driver issue, try updating your video card driver to the
latest version, which mode or brand are you using? Could you also tell us
your system specs?

When i log on to vista my screen is flickering to black a few times. what do
i need to change to solve this problem?

This happens to me as well. Screen also flickers when I connect or
disconnect a usb thumb drive. My system is a Dell E520 running window
vista. Graphic card is a Nvidia 7300LE. Tried to upgrade to the latest
driver but was never successful due to black screen hang. Tried several
times but with the same result. The only option is to restore to an earlier
setting. Wish that someone could help.

This flickering sounds like what I had reported in an earlier post...erratic
startup.

I have dual core 2 with 2G RAM and Norton antivirus. I did disk clean up as
Andre suggested but problem still appears to be there. Everything setles
down in a few seconds but it doesn't seem right and did not do it a few weeks
ago???

Ok im updating my drivers now.
The laptop im using is a Acer Aspire 5310.
Specs:
Physical Memory: 1013 MB
Minimum Graphics Memory: 8 MB
Maximum Graphics Memory: 251 MB
Graphics Memory in Use: 94 MB
Processor: x86 family 6 Model 15 Stepping 6
Processor Speed: 1596 MHZ
Accelerator in Use: Mobile Intel(R) 945 Express Chipset Family
Current Graphics Mode: 1280 x 800 True Color (60 Hz)

Is this enough information?
