Screen Flicker

Using the Radeon 9600SE DVI interface for a monitor
connection results in display irregularities.
There are random flickers, flashes and screen jitters.
I am running XP pro and an Intel D875PBZ board with
their latest BIOS update. The setup is stable with a
VGA configuration.

I have a similar problem with the same card and an Intel
P4P800 motherboard, I got rid of the flickering by
installing microsoft's java instead of Sun's version,
probably bad programming to work with microsoft that needs
to be changed. The other problem I have is for every
character on the screen I see 4 or 5 almost like the it's
repeating horizontally... vertical synch?
