Screen blink

sAbout three days ago, after downloading a number of files, my screen began
to, well, blink or huccup every 30 seconds or so. Causing, for instance the
cursor to costantly jump back to the begining of this message box while I'm
typing. (if I hadn't "cut and pasted this message back together before
sending it out to you guys you would have thought it was a puzzel) or when
I'm playing a video game it keeps jumping back to the desktop. Iv'e tried
deleteing all the new programs and resetting to an earlier setting. But like
real hiccups the problem persits. HELLP!!!
