Once my Windows screen blanker kicks in, no mouse movement will restore
the screen's contents.

Help please!

Control panel, mouse folder, Hardware tab, properties button, Power Management
tab, check "Allow this device to bring the computer out of standby."

Yes, this item is ticked, but the screen still stays blanked out
whenever the mouse is moved.
