screen blacks out

Hi all. Has anyone had this problem...Since I've
installed SP2, every once in awhile the screen blacks
out, varying from .5 to 3 or so seconds, then comes back
on. It's really getting annoying. I am running XP on an
HP machine. Any ideas? Thanks!

You might see if HP has updated power management software for your
model. Another thing to try would be to see if there are updated
drivers for your video card. Look on HP's site since their machines are
so proprietary.
