Scratch disk - low virtual memory

D

Debbie

If my computer is left on for any length of time, it has
suddenly become short on virtual memory.

I also keep getting a message when working with
photos, "Could not complete your request because the
primary scratch disk is full. We suggest that you free
some space on your scratch drive before continuing."
However when I went to Help and Support, scratch disk
isn't listed.

It has also been suggested that I have unnessessary
programs at startup.

Getting kinda crippled here...

thanks,
Deb

Debbie, are you sure it was scratch and not Swap. Rt click
MyComputer>select Properties>Advanced>Performance-Settings>Advanced>Virtual
Memory-Change. Click on Custom Size and type 600 in both boxes. Select Set,
Ok.
