Scrap object

Can anyone tell me what a scrap object file is and why one would be created
while trying to save an Excel spreadsheet??
This is the first time I have ever seen on or had one created while trying
to save a spreadsheet.

How you are creating one when saving a workbook may become apparent after
reading the Help, although it is not apparent to myself<g>

Thanks! I've been trying to recreate what someone else has done. This KB
article may be the answer to my question. I will have to try it and see.
