Schema Master

I need to change the Schema Master operation role to
another server. The Schema Master is set to an older
server that has been taken offline. It now will not let
me change the role to another server since the other one
has been taken down. Is there anyway around this? Any
help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

you have to sieze schema master on another DC. To do this go to the command
prompt on another server and run ntdsutil
There selecr roles menu
and use seize Schema master command. Before doing that use connaction
command to connect to a DC.
