Scheduling a call with Outlook Business Contact Manager?

How do you schedule a call or a task with a Business Contact? If you want to
schedule a follow up call with a client on a quote you sent him for example.
They only way that I can see is tasks. When I pull up the task, the contact
info is hard to find. Any suggestions?

Yes, you would use a task. If you initate the task from the contact it will
automatically be linked. If not, make sure you link it if you want it
retained in the contact's history. If you want to be able to access the
contact when you open the task, then link again using the contacts button on
the bottom of the contact form.

Marty,

In Outlook, a Task is an event intended for "day-specific" designation. In
contrast, an Appointment is intended for both "day-specific" and additionally,
"time-of-day-specific" designation. If you need to schedule a follow up
call with a client for both a specific day and also for an exact time during
that day, you would naturally use an appointment record that would appear on
your calendar so you can view it coming in advance. To confuse things, you
could also use a task record with a reminder alarm set to fire off for a
specific time during that day but you would not necessarily as easily see it
coming in advance because it would not be appearing on your calendar rather
it would just "pop-up." That is why I like to stick to my use of "day-
specific" vs. "time-specific" designation.
