scheduled Tasks

I am unable to schedule a PowerPoint Show (.pps) ans music (Windows media
player) at the same time. I find that I must allow a wait time of one minute
between a scheduled music and a scheduled .pps show [in that order].
Is there an update to the windows XP Scheduled Tasks that would allow
scheduling using seconds in place of minutes? Are there other free
schedulars that I can ty? Or is there a was to scedule the taks in one
script to allow the music to start and then the show to start without a gap
(or with a minimal gap. It appears that the windows media player is not
compatible with PowerPoint SHow. ANy help would be appreciated.

Have a look at the item titled "multiple target in one shortcut",
posted in this newsgroup two days ago. It shows how to
launch several processes from a batch file, which you can
schedule with the Task Scheduler.

Separate the individual tasks with this command to introduce
a delay of 9 seconds (for example):

ping localhost -n 10 > nul
