Scheduled Tasks Will Not Start Programs

T

TJ

I cannot seem to get Scheduled Tasks to start anything.
The service is started and it seems that its dependencies
are also running . . . any ideas?

Thanks

Go to the Users Accounts control panel. Click on your account and assign it a password. OK all the way out. Then go into task manager and go to the properties for each task. Enter your account name and password in the appropriate boxes.

Thanks, Patty. But I had already gone through that fix,
and it did not correct the problem. I did do it again,
however, but to no avail. My user account has
administrative rights, BTW. So I'm not sure what's going
on.

Have you deleted and recreated the tasks? Any specific task that is a problem? And btw, in my last post I meant Scheduled Tasks, not Task Manager -- but I guess you realized that. <s>

Can you go to Control Panel->Scheduled tasks->Advanced Viewlog. It will open
up notepad
with logfile of taskscheduler. Look for an entry there for your failed task
and it will contain
error message. Can you post the error code and error message ???

Hi Mani,

Is there a list of these exit codes anywhere and what they mean? Thanks.
