Scheduled Taks not working

I have a few scheduled tasks that do not work, such as my antivirus scans, or any random things. When I check the scheduled task menu it always states, "The scheduled tasks did not run becayse no user acount password was entered." But 2 weeks ago I didnt put any passwords or anything and yet it was working fine. Now it isnt, and I would really like not to have to enter any password of any sort. By the way I am using Windows XP Pro. Thanks for the help.

I am running Norton Antivirus 2004. But I don;t think this is because of my virus scan, since I even tried for, testing sakes, the calculator program and still did not load at specified time saying it was unable to open b/c of user acounts, or something like that [exact quote is on my first post]. So anyone help me? I remember this happening to me a while back, say 6-8 months ago but I don;t recall on how to fix it.

There is a Microsoft Knowledge Base Article 310715 that you can see here:
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;[LN];310715 that seems to
refer to your problem although I have encountered the same thing with NAV and was
able to fix it by deleting and manually re-creating the NAV scheduled task without having
to do the password stuff mentioned in the above MS Knowledge Base Article. Try this:
http://service1.symantec.com/SUPPOR...ws 2000/Me/98/XP&src=sg&pcode=nav&svy=&csm=no
I was able to fix my NAV by using the method above. Hope it works for you too. Bob

Hi Ron,

Running Scheduled Tasks without a password:

For Pro: Start/Control Panel/Administrative Tools/Local Security
Policy/Local Policies/Security options. In the right hand pane (third down).

Accounts: Limit local account use of blank passwords to console logon only.
This is enabled by default, disable it.

For Home: Run Scheduled Task without a Password (Line 68)
