Scheduled item running when logged out

If a scheduled item runs when I am logged out, when I log in I can't see the
process: is there any way of seeing the process when I next log in, without
having to stay logged in all the time?

Nope, sorry, a task scheduled to run while not logged on is always set to
not have a GUI interface. It's expected behavior and by design.
