schedule tasks that use graphics

S

Stefano

Hi,

I am trying to use the scheduled tasks
feature on a win 2000 terminal server.
I have to start graphical applications
automatically. I understand that the
task scheduler runs on the session id 0,
which I can not access.
Is there something I am missing? Is there a
workaround?

Thanks,
Stefano

Nope, this is pretty much by design. All scheduled tasks
run on the console, and the only way to TS to the console
is to use a third party utility, like PCAnyWhere or VNC.
Alternatively, you can upgrade to Windows 2003 which
supports terminal services to the console.
